Desperate attacks are so named because they can only be performed when your party is in a bind. Desperate Attacks are generally extremely powerful attacks that will, under most circumstances, turn the tides of the battle rather quickly. That doesn't mean you should all be on the brink of death just to beat a strong boss, however. Use them wisely and when appropriate!
