FF13 theme tune singer revealed, single release date set
September 8, 2009
Sayuri Sugawara has been announced as the singer for Nobuo Uematsu's vocal theme to Final Fantasy XIII.
The theme song's name is "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" and it will be released as a single over in Japan on December 2nd. The English translation of the song title would be "Because You're Here" - a love story for Lightning, perhaps?
Sugawara told the audience at the FF13 Premiere Party that Square Enix gave her FF13's keywords and theme; she based her performance of that.
Before introducing Sayuri Sugawara, main game composer Masashi Hamauzu promised that the game would have many vocal tracks, even in gameplay areas like fields.
