Zidane Tribal

Our hero Zidane is the "leader" of Final Fantasy 9's group of friends, and an all around good fellow. Though, indeed, Zidane has his own share of troubles in his adventures and life, he is always willing to lay aside time for his friends and the world. With the looming threat of Kuja on Gaia, his leadership may just be required...

Zidane's past is shrouded in mystery, though he does know that since he was young he was raised by a group of thieves / performers known as Tantalus. Under Tantalus' care, the young man became an avid performer and a master thief. These skills he puts to use in entertaining audiences, obtaining important items from people, and abducting a certain princess.

Zidane focuses mainly on physical attacks, though his "Dyne" trance attack proves to be a very powerful magical skill. He usually weilds a polearm or a pair of daggers with which he lays devastation to looming enemies.

Stealing Items

Zidane can steal items from enemies, and you can improve and refine this skill by learning certain abilities. He can eventually steal better items (Master Thief) and inflict damage while stealing (Mug). Until you learn such abilities, use the 'Detect' skill to spot any items the enemies may possess.

Zidane also has an attack called "Thievery" that deals damage depending on how many items you steal from enemies. This is a very useful skill in that it does non-elemental damage. So keep stealing those items, and put them to good use!
